Pune: In a shocking incident, a 12-year-old boy was abducted from his school playground to pressure his mother into withdrawing a police case filed against the accused. The incident took place at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru School in Nirgudsar (Ambegaon Taluka) on Wednesday (December 11), at approximately 12:30 PM.

The abducted boy, Aryan Vikram Chavan, is a fifth-grade student. According to his father, Vikram Gorakhnath Chavan, his wife, Archana, had earlier lodged a case against the accused, Raju Jambukar (26, resident of Ghulewadi, Sangamner Taluka) at the Sangamner Police Station.

To compel the withdrawal of the case, Jambukar allegedly lured Aryan away from the school under false pretenses. A kidnapping case has been registered against Jambukar at the Pargaon Police Station. The incident has created an atmosphere of fear and concern in the community.

The boy is 12 years old, of slim build, with a fair complexion and short black hair. He stands at 4 feet tall and was last seen wearing his school uniform: blue pants and a white shirt with blue checks, along with sandals. He speaks Marathi.

Jambukar has several cases registered against him at the Sangamner Police Station. Pargaon Police, along with teams from the Local Crime Branch (LCB), have launched a search operation to apprehend the accused. Assistant Police Inspector Netaji Gandhare stated that Jambukar’s arrest is expected soon.
