Pune: The Pune Division of the Charity Commissioner’s Office has introduced a QR code and an online payment link through the State Bank of India, making digital transactions easier for citizens. This initiative follows the 100-day action plan announced by the State Government on January 13.

The move aligns with the ‘Sukar Jeevanman’ (Ease of Living) initiative, under which Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis directed the State Charity Commissioner, Amogh Shyamkant Kaloti, to ensure that all fees collected in charity offices across Maharashtra be made online. Following these instructions, all Assistant Charity Commissioners were tasked with enabling digital payment systems in their respective divisions.

Under the leadership of Assistant Charity Commissioner & Nodal Officer Rajani Kshirsagar, the Pune office swiftly implemented the digital payment system. The first receipt generated through the online payment facility was officially presented to Adv. Shivraj Kadam-Jahagirdar by Deputy Charity Commissioner Dr. Rajesh Pardeshi, in the presence of Adv. Mohan Fadnis, President of the Public Trust Practitioners’ Association.

The Public Trust Registration Office covers a vast jurisdiction, including Pune, Satara, Solapur, and Ahilyanagar districts. Trust applicants and stakeholders are required to pay various fees such as registration charges, late penalties, and court fees. While online submission of trust registration applications and certificate issuance was already in place, the newly developed digital payment link will make transactions faster, smoother, and more convenient.

Dr. Rajesh Pardeshi, Deputy Charity Commissioner & Head of Establishment at the Public Trust Registration Office, Pune, highlighted that this initiative would enhance operational efficiency and improve public accessibility to services.
