Pune: Female Teacher Arrested for Coercing Minor Student into Physical Relations

Accused resides in Dhanori and is employed at the school, allegedly manipulated the student into a romantic relationship despite her duty as a teacher to safeguard students.

Pune: The Khadak police have arrested a 27-year-old female teacher for coercing a 17-year-old Class 10 student into physical relations. The incident, which took place at a reputed school in Ganj Peth, was uncovered on Friday (December 27). The accused has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).

According to the police, the victim, a resident of Bhawani Peth, had come to the school for his Class 10 preliminary examinations. The accused, who resides in Dhanori and is employed at the school, allegedly manipulated the student into a romantic relationship despite her duty as a teacher to safeguard students. She coerced him into engaging in physical relations within the school premises.

Following the revelation, the school management immediately reported the incident to the authorities. The police swiftly acted on the complaint, arrested the teacher, and filed a case under the POCSO Act. Senior police officers inspected the location, and Assistant Police Inspector Tonde is leading the investigation.

Recently, a tuition teacher was booked by the Bharti Vidyapeeth police for allegedly committing obscene acts with a schoolgirl. The incident came to light after the victim confided in her mother, who subsequently filed a police complaint.

According to the police, the accused, aged 25, ran a private tuition class attended by the victim. He reportedly showed her obscene videos and threatened her with punishment for any academic mistakes before engaging in inappropriate behavior.
