Pune: A massive fire broke out in the early hours of the morning at a waste management facility near PARI Company on Narhe-Dhayari Road. The incident, which occurred between 2:30 and 3:00 AM, prompted an immediate response from multiple fire stations across Pune.

Swift Action by Fire Department

The fire was severe, requiring the deployment of fire tenders from Anandnagar, Navale, Katraj, and Erandwane fire stations. Additionally, water tankers were called in to assist in controlling the blaze.

The facility is used for sorting and processing wet and dry waste, leading to large heaps of garbage, which further fueled the fire. No Casualties, Residential Areas Safe

The site is located close to several large residential projects, raising concerns about the fire spreading to nearby buildings. However, firefighters successfully contained the flames, preventing further damage. No casualties or injuries have been reported in the incident.

Authorities are yet to determine the cause of the fire, and an investigation is expected to follow.
