Kulkarni said residents, including senior citizens and people with health issues, had been calling her since the beginning of Navratri, alleging that loud music was played every night. “Cancer patients and elderly citizens were suffering because of the high volume, but no action was taken despite several complaints to the police,” she said.

The MP claimed that she had informed the Kothrud police station, deputy commissioner and Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar about the issue, but officers failed to act. She also alleged that the event was held without proper police permission and hinted at political pressure allowing it to continue.

Kulkarni stressed that she was not against religious celebrations but insisted they must follow rules and maintain cultural values. She warned that if such incidents continue, she will approach Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to stop what she called a “nuisance” for local residents.
