Pune: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the new underground metro line connecting the District Court and Swargate on September 26. For security reasons, the District Court Metro Station will remain closed for five hours, from noon until 7 PM.

Passengers will be able to use the station again after the event. According to Maharashtra Metro's Managing Director, Shravan Hardikar, the metro route from District Court to Swargate will be open to the public from 8:30 PM to 10 PM tomorrow (September 26), with regular service starting from Friday (September 27).

To minimize inconvenience caused by the closure of the District Court Metro Station, alternative transportation arrangements have been made.

Metro services on the Pimpri to Shivajinagar route will continue as scheduled after noon, but the metro will not proceed to the District Court station.

Passengers will need to disembark at Shivajinagar Metro Station and can avail of a free Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd. (PMPML) bus service to reach Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).

The metro service on the Ramwadi to Vanaz route will not be affected, except for the closure of the District Court station.

Passengers traveling from Vanaz or Ramwadi towards Pimpri are advised to get off at Pune Municipal Corporation station and take the free bus service to reach Shivajinagar Metro Station.

Maha-Metro has ensured that all metro services will return to normal from 7 PM after the inauguration. Passengers are requested to plan their travel accordingly during this period.
