Pune Metro Offers ₹30 Travel from Pimpri-Chinchwad to Swargate, ₹35 for Ramwadi to Swargate

Pimpri-Chinchwad to Swargate metro service, operational from Sunday (September 29) at 4 PM, allows passengers to travel between the two key regions for just ₹30.

Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad residents can now enjoy quick, affordable, and seamless travel to Swargate and Pimpri-Chinchwad, thanks to the newly opened metro line connecting the two areas.

The much-anticipated Pimpri-Chinchwad to Swargate metro service, operational from Sunday (September 29) at 4 PM, allows passengers to travel between the two key regions for just ₹30.

  • PCMC to Swargate - ₹30

  • Vanaz to Swargate - ₹25

  • Ramwadi to Swargate - ₹35

This new route promises to make daily commutes much more convenient by significantly cutting down travel time. Previously, commuting by road between Pimpri-Chinchwad and Swargate could be time-consuming, with traffic snarls and congestion adding to the stress.

However, with the launch of the metro service, the journey is now not only faster but also more economical. The metro operates every seven minutes during peak hours and every ten minutes during non-peak periods, ensuring that passengers never have to wait long for a ride.

In addition to the affordability, passengers can now avoid the usual traffic bottlenecks found on city roads, particularly during the festive season when congestion is at its peak.

Commuters from Pimpri-Chinchwad no longer have to rely on private vehicles or buses, which are often delayed by heavy traffic in Pune’s central areas. With the metro offering a direct link to Swargate, this service is expected to become the preferred mode of travel for many.

Moreover, the new metro connection is expected to reduce the number of private vehicles entering Pune's central business district, helping to ease traffic congestion in places like Mandai and the surrounding market areas.

The opening of the metro to Swargate is part of a broader effort by Pune’s transport authorities to enhance connectivity between suburban and central areas of the city.
