Antriksh enrolled in the 154th batch at the NDA in July 2025 after passing the SSB on his initial try. He finished his education at Army Public School, and his father is a retired Army officer.

Sambhaji Kadam, the Deputy Commissioner of Police for Zone 3, informed Punekar News that the case is currently being handled as a suspected suicide. He mentioned, 'A suicide has been reported at NDA, but there is no evidence of hazing at this time. The investigation is still in progress, and we are waiting for the cadet's family to arrive.'

The family of the cadet has raised worries that hazing might have played a role in the incident, emphasizing the necessity to reassess safety protocols and the well-being of trainees at the academy. The investigation is being spearheaded by the Uttamnagar police station in Pune, and the NDA has not issued an official statement yet.
