Pune, 6th June 2025: On Saturday (7June), a mass prayer will be held at the Eidgah ground in the Golibar Maidan area of the city on the occasion of Bakri Eid. Temporary changes have been made in the traffic in this area to ensure smooth traffic flow.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. Sandeep Bhajibhakare has issued an order regarding traffic regulation. Some roads will be closed from 6 am on June 7 until the end of the prayers. Alternative routes have been arranged for traffic. Drivers have been appealed to cooperate with the police administration.
Roads closed for traffic and alternative arrangements:
1. Bhairobanala to Golibar Maidan road (closed from 6 am to 11.30 am)
Alternative route: Heavy vehicles going to Swargate will take 'Prince of Wales Road' via Lullanagar Chowk, while light vehicles going to Pune Station will take Empress Garden Road.
2. Mammadevi Chowk to Golibar Maidan
Alternative route: Via Bishop School or Command Hospital and via Napier Road, they will go through CDO Chowk.
3. CDO Chowk to Golibar Maidan (closed from 6 am to 11.30 am)
Alternative route: Vehicles coming from Lullanagar will turn left from CDO Chowk and also turn right from Khatav Bungalow Chowk and take Napier Road.
4. Seven Loves Chowk to Golibar Maidan
Alternative route: Salisbury Park- CDO Chowk to Bhairobanala
5. Old Solapur Bazaar Chowki to Golibar Maidan
Alternative route: Khane Maruti Chowk to Pulgate Depot- Solapur Bazar Chowk- Napier Road- Khatav Bungalow Chowk or Mammadevi Chowk.
6. Entry closed to heavy vehicles coming from Lullanagar Chowk towards Golibar maidan (goods, ST, PMP buses)
Alternative route: Lullanagar Chowk to Bhairobana Chowk or Gangadham Chowk.
