Pune: The Pune Traffic Police has announced changes to parking regulations in the Baner, Bharati Vidyapeeth, Kothrud, and Deccan areas to streamline vehicular movement and address parking challenges. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Amol Zende shared the details of the revised parking rules.
Baner: Odd-Even Parking Based on Odd-Even Dates
In Baner, a dual parking system based on odd (P1) and even (P2) dates has been implemented. This rule applies to the stretch between Pancard Club Lane, Balewadi Canal Road, and Hotel Spring. This system is expected to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow in the area.
Bharati Vidyapeeth: Parking Prohibited on Key Service Roads
Under the Bharati Vidyapeeth Traffic Division, parking of vehicles on both sides of the service road from Kadam Plaza Building to Lake Town Society and from Ramnath Sweets to Green Park Building is now prohibited. These measures aim to ensure the smooth movement of vehicles along this busy corridor.
Kothrud: Restrictions on Warje and Kothrud Roads
In the Kothrud Traffic Division, strict parking restrictions have been introduced on two key roads:
The road between Minal Garden Society and Shrikrishna Society near Mai Mangeshkar Hospital in Warje has been declared a no-parking zone for all types of vehicles.
A 100-meter stretch between Meenatai Thackeray Arch, Sankalp Society, and Siddhi Housing Society in Kothrud is now off-limits for vehicle parking on both sides of the road.
Deccan: No Parking on Karve Road Stretch
In the Deccan Traffic Division, a 100-meter no-parking zone has been established on Karve Road, extending from the Sahyadri Hospital (outgate) to the entrance of Vimlabai Garware School. This step has been taken to ease congestion in one of the city's busiest areas.
