Pune: Now Book PMC Theaters and Cultural Halls Online via ‘Rangyatra’ App

The ‘Rangyatra’ app eliminates the need for in-person visits, making the process more convenient and accessible.

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has launched a dedicated mobile application named ‘Rangyatra’ to facilitate online reservations for theaters, cultural centers, and art galleries owned by the municipality. This initiative aims to simplify the current offline booking system, which often causes inconvenience to event organizers.

Currently, individuals or organizations looking to book a theater or cultural venue must visit municipal offices to gather details about availability, seating capacity, and rental charges. The ‘Rangyatra’ app eliminates the need for in-person visits, making the process more convenient and accessible.

Reservation Window and Timeline

  • Booking Period: March 15 – March 25, 2025

  • Applicable Events: May 1 – August 31, 2025

  • Notification of Allotment: April 10, 2025

Who Can Use the App?

The ‘Rangyatra’ app is designed for various event organizers, including:

  • Theater and Lavani performers

  • Cultural event planners

  • Political, educational, and religious organizations

  • General citizens booking venues for events

PMC’s Cultural Department has assured that applicants will receive timely notifications regarding the status of their reservation requests. The final allotment details will be shared via registered mobile numbers and emails.
