Pune School Children Educated on Mosquito-Borne Disease Prevention

Students were educated about the dangers of mosquito-borne diseases like dengue, malaria, and chikungunya, and provided with mosquito repellent bands.

Pune: An initiative aimed at raising awareness about protection against mosquito-borne diseases was launched at Barrister Vitthalrao Gadgil Primary School, coinciding with the Raksha Bandhan festival.

The campaign, spearheaded by Dabur's Odomos, highlighted the importance of safeguarding health, drawing a parallel between the protective nature of the rakhi and the defense offered by mosquito repellents.

During the campaign, students were educated about the dangers of mosquito-borne diseases like dengue, malaria, and chikungunya. They were also provided with mosquito repellent bands to help protect them from these diseases.

Dabur India further amplified the campaign's message by distributing Odomos products and organizing an informative seminar for students, teachers, and parents.

Santosh Jaiswal, Category Head for Mosquito Repellents at Dabur India, emphasized the campaign's significance in promoting community health.

He remarked, "The Suraksha Bandhan campaign is a meaningful extension of Dabur Odomos' mission to ensure public safety. By aligning with the spirit of Raksha Bandhan, we aim to create a positive impact on society by enhancing awareness about mosquito protection."

The event witnessed participation from various dignitaries, including Dinesh Kumar from Dabur India, Narendra Parkhe from Deshseva Foundation, Deputy Administrative Officer Shubhangi Chavan, Supervisor Ashadevi Dhumal, Dalvi Madam from Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Nitin Vani, Acting Headmaster,

teachers Sunita Jadhav, Sanjeevani Sonar, Asha Unde, Pradip Gawli, Swati Lohkare, Surekha Khaire, Pooja Ghogare, Ajay Kondhawale, Tushar Tamnar, Rohit Sirswal, and all staff and teachers of School No. 118 B.

Acting Headmaster Nitin Vani expressed gratitude towards Dabur India and appreciated their efforts, providing students with information and guidance on the campaign.
