To ensure smooth traffic flow, alternate routes have been suggested. Vehicles travelling from Shivajinagar towards Swargate will need to use Jangli Maharaj Road, pass through Khandojibaba Chowk, and proceed via Tilak Road to reach their destination.

The traffic police have clarified that although the permissions for diversions were granted from August 2, the changes will only come into effect once the actual construction work begins.

Additional diversions are as follows:

  • Vehicles heading towards the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) office should take a left from Jhansi Rani Chowk.

  • Those coming from Appa Balwant Chowk to Budhwar Chowk will need to turn right from the Bijli Shop and continue via Shrikrishna Talkies and City Post towards Laxmi Road.

These night-time restrictions will remain in force until August 25 or until the memorial work is completed.
