Pune Shivers as Minimum Temperatures Drop Below 10°C in Several Areas

Cold wave has persisted for the last four days, with key areas such as Haveli, NDA, Pashan, and Shivajinagar recording consistently low temperatures.

Pune: The cold spell in Pune city and its surrounding districts continues to intensify, with minimum temperatures remaining below 10°C in several areas.

On Friday (November 29), the lowest temperature was recorded at 8.4°C in Haveli, while Shivajinagar saw a minimum of 9.5°C.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Pune, the cold wave has persisted for the last four days, with key areas such as Haveli, NDA, Pashan, and Shivajinagar recording consistently low temperatures.

This has led to residents lighting bonfires to keep warm and an increased demand for winter essentials like sweaters and woolen caps in the markets.

The IMD has also forecasted dry weather for the city over the next two days, accompanied by light fog during the early morning hours.

  • Haveli: 8.4

  • Daund: 9.1

  • Shivajinagar and Baramati: 9.5

  • NDA: 10.0

  • Talegaon: 10.1

  • Indapur: 10.4

  • Ambegaon and Narayangaon: 10.5

  • Malin: 10.9

  • Purandar: 11.4

  • Hadapsar: 12.1

Residents are advised to take precautions against the cold, especially during nighttime and early morning hours.
