Pune: The Pune Institute of Applied Technology (PIAT), operated under the Suryadatta Education Foundation, has launched the 25th edition of its annual exhibition ‘Aura 2025,’ featuring artistic displays created from discarded materials. This year, the exhibition revolves around the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, offering visitors a glimpse into his leadership, policies, and military strategies.
The event was inaugurated in the presence of renowned sculptor Abhijit Dhondphale, who praised the students' efforts and their ability to transform waste materials into creative exhibits. He encouraged them to focus on innovation, sustainability, and artistic expression.
A Detailed Exploration of Shivaji Maharaj’s Legacy
The exhibition provides an in-depth look at various aspects of Shivaji Maharaj’s life, including his governance, weaponry, state policies, and historical records. Additionally, students have designed models of his forts, showcasing their architectural brilliance. The exhibit aims to inspire visitors by highlighting the great leader’s ideals and contributions to society.
Exhibition Details and Student Participation
The exhibition is open to the public free of charge from 10 AM to 6 PM until March 12 at the Pune Institute of Applied Technology, located in the Nikhil Pride building next to Abhinav College on Tilak Road.
During the inaugural event, PIAT Principal Prof. Ajit Shinde, along with professors Mandar Diwane, Pallavi Purandare, and Aniket Naikare, appreciated the students’ dedication and hard work.
Prof. Ajit Shinde emphasized the significance of the exhibition, stating, "This event is not just about showcasing creativity; it serves as a platform for students to develop practical skills and explore innovative ideas.
