Pune, 26 August 2025: Pune witnessed a tense moment on Monday night when a PMPML bus driver suffered a sudden heart attack while driving through the city’s crowded Laxmi Road. The incident occurred during Ganesh-Gauri festival shopping hours, when the streets were packed with vehicles and pedestrians.

The bus, heading from Kumbre Park, lost control after driver Anil Ambore collapsed at the wheel. Panic spread among passengers as they raised alarm. Fortunately, two traffic police officers from Faraskhana division, Archana Nimgire and Ramesh Dhaware, were on duty nearby.

Reacting swiftly, the officers rushed to the bus, halted it, and administered CPR to the driver. Their timely intervention revived Ambore and helped stabilize him before further medical care.

The quick response not only saved the driver’s life but also prevented what could have been a serious accident in one of Pune’s busiest marketplaces. Citizens at the spot praised the officers for their courage and presence of mind.
