Pune: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a rise in both minimum and maximum temperatures in Pune over the next three to four days. The city, which recently experienced a drop in temperatures, is now set to see warmer days and nights.

On Friday, January 24, Pune recorded a minimum temperature of 14.2°C and a maximum temperature of 33°C. This rise in maximum temperature has brought noticeable heat during the daytime, which is unusual for the winter season. In the National Defence Academy (NDA) area, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C, adding to the daytime discomfort.

For the past week, Pune and its surrounding areas have been witnessing unstable weather conditions, with hot days and cool nights. Fluctuations in the minimum temperature have been recorded daily, with the past 24 hours showing an increase of 1 to 2°C. The maximum temperature has also increased by a similar margin.

The IMD has forecasted dry weather across Maharashtra for the next four to five days. Regions such as Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada may experience a rise of 1 to 2°C in maximum temperatures. Meanwhile, Vidarbha is not expected to see any significant changes in temperature during this period.

In Pune, the minimum temperature is expected to be around 14°C on Saturday, January 25, with clear skies and mild morning fog. By Tuesday, January 28, the minimum temperature is forecasted to rise slightly to 15°C, with similar weather conditions of clear skies and morning fog.

The IMD has advised residents to prepare for warmer days ahead and take necessary precautions to cope with the fluctuating weather.
