Pune: Woman Alleges Rape, Threats, and Forced Religious Conversion by Acquaintances

Victim reported that she was subsequently raped, and the accused filmed the act. They later threatened to circulate the footage on social media if she did not comply with their demands.

Pune: A 32-year-old woman was allegedly coerced into converting her religion, confined in a house, and repeatedly raped. Following her complaint, the Airport Police have arrested three individuals, including a woman, in connection with the case.

The accused have been identified as Santosh Ramdas Gaikwad (55), Sagar Madhukar Landge (30), and an unnamed female accomplice. All are residents of Dhanori.

According to the police, the victim was acquainted with the accused. She was lured to Dhanori, where the female accused confined her in her residence. Inside the house, Santosh Gaikwad and Sagar Landge threatened her with a pistol and issued death threats.

The victim reported that she was subsequently raped, and the accused filmed the act. They later threatened to circulate the footage on social media if she did not comply with their demands.

The ordeal did not end there. Sagar Landge later took the victim to the Lohegaon area, where she was confined in a room and repeatedly assaulted under threat.

The Airport Police have registered a case against the accused under charges of rape, unlawful confinement, and possession of illegal firearms. Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Dhamne is leading the investigation.
