Purushottam Karandak: 51 Teams Selected for Prestigious Competition

Maharashtriya Kalopasak Secretary Adv. Rajendra Thakurdesai said if any team fails to be present, replacement teams will be chosen through lottery.

Pune: The Maharashtriya Kalopasak has finalized the selection of 51 teams for this year's Purushottam Karandak competition on Monday (July 15). From the 33 newly registered teams, 13 were selected through a lottery system.

The application process took place on 14th and 15th July, with a total of 33 teams submitting their entries. Out of the 41 teams from last year's competition, 38 have reapplied this year.

The acceptance of applications is scheduled for 3rd and 4th August from 6 PM to 8 PM at Natu Wada in Shaniwar Peth.

According to Maharashtriya Kalopasak Secretary, Adv. Rajendra Thakurdesai, if any team fails to be present on these days, replacement teams will be chosen through a lottery.

The competition schedule is as follows:

  • 7th August: Schedule announcement at Lotus, Indira Moreswar Hall, DSK Chintamani

  • 16th to 30th August: Preliminary rounds at Pune Center

  • 21st and 22nd September: Final rounds at Pune Center

  • 28th September: Award ceremony at Pune Center

The college teams selected through the lottery are:

  • S. M. Joshi College, Hadapsar

  • Sinhgad Academy of Engineering

  • NBN Sinhgad Technical Institute, Ambegaon Budruk Campus

  • International Institute of Information Technology, Hinjawadi

  • Vishwasrao Ransing College, Indapur

  • Kaveri Arts, Science, and Commerce College, Pune

  • D.Y. Patil Unitech B. School, Tathawade

  • Nowrosjee Wadia College, Pune

  • P.D.E.A. College of Engineering

  • MIT WPU, Pune

  • Ajinkya D.Y. Patil School of Engineering, Lohgaon

  • D.Y. Patil Dnyanprasad University, B. School, Tathawade

  • Garware College of Commerce, Autonomous, Pune
