Raj Thackeray introspection meeting: After failing to secure a single seat in the recent Maharashtra Assembly elections, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) is set to conduct a two-day meeting in Pune for introspection and strategizing.
Party chief Raj Thackeray will meet with defeated candidates and local office-bearers from Pune city and Western Maharashtra to analyze the election results and discuss the party’s next steps.
The meeting, organized by the Pune city leadership, is likely to take place on Thursday, with Thackeray arriving in Pune on Wednesday. Discussions will revolve around evaluating the reasons behind the electoral losses and formulating a strategy for the upcoming local body elections.
During the Assembly elections, MNS fielded candidates in four Pune constituencies: Kothrud, Khadakwasla, Hadapsar, and Kasba. However, all candidates faced defeat, though some managed to secure a notable vote share.
The party had initially anticipated success in certain constituencies in Mumbai and Western Maharashtra, but the results fell short of expectations.
With local body elections in Maharashtra approaching, the MNS leadership aims to refine its strategy and boost its presence. Thackeray is expected to address the candidates and local leaders, urging them to identify shortcomings and work collectively toward future political endeavors.
