Rajgurunagar: Missing Girls Found Dead in Gruesome Condition

Deceased girls have been identified as Kartiki (9) and Durva Sunil Makwane (8). Police detained a 50-year-old suspect working in a restaurant bar on charges of murder.

Pune: A harrowing incident unfolded in Rajgurunagar, Pune district, where the bodies of two young girls, who went missing on Wednesday (December 25) afternoon, were discovered in a drum near a building late at night. The tragic discovery has sparked widespread shock and grief in the community.

The deceased girls have been identified as Kartiki Sunil Makwane (9) and Durva Sunil Makwane (8). Police have detained a 50-year-old suspect working in a restaurant bar on charges of murder of the two girls.

According to reports, the two girls were playing near their home in Rajgurunagar when they disappeared on Wednesday afternoon. Their parents conducted a frantic search across the area but were unable to locate them. Late at night, the girls’ bodies were found in a drum placed near a building in a distressing condition.

The local police, upon receiving information, rushed to the spot and sent the bodies to Chandoli Rural Hospital for postmortem. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to this tragic event.

The incident has left the residents of Rajgurunagar deeply shaken, and further details are awaited as police probe the case.
