Pune: Residents of Kiwale, Ravet, and Mamurdi are facing severe difficulties due to the poor condition of their main roads, which have deteriorated significantly because of heavy rains.

Potholes have become a major hazard, causing drivers to navigate these roads with great difficulty, and locals are now demanding urgent repairs.

In Kiwale, the road from Vikasnagar to Mukai Chowk has turned into a minefield of potholes, posing a significant risk to drivers. Despite being repaired last year, the road has once again fallen into disrepair. Residents are concerned about the safety of navigating through these hazardous conditions.

Similarly, in Ravet, pedestrians are struggling with waterlogged areas near the Mauli Senior Citizens Center on the road leading from S.B. Patil College to Shindevasti. The poor drainage in this low-lying area has caused significant inconvenience, and the presence of multiple potholes on the BRT road to the railway tracks in Shindevasti has further exacerbated the situation. Residents are urging the authorities to take immediate action to repair these roads.

In Mamurdi, the internal roads in Sainagar, from Dehu Road Central Chowk to Vanrai and from Chintamani Chowk to Rajwada, are riddled with potholes, making it difficult for drivers to commute. Local residents have expressed their frustration and have called for the immediate repair of these roads.

Anil Shinde, Executive Engineer of the 'B' Regional Office of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, stated "road repairs are ongoing, despite it being a Sunday. He also mentioned that illegal construction work by MIDC at Shindewasti has made the road dangerous, and despite repeated warnings, the work continues."
