Pune: A horrifying crime in Nirgudsar, Ambegaon taluka, has shocked the region as a 12-year-old boy was kidnapped and murdered by his mother’s lover in a bid to force her to withdraw a rape case against him. The accused, identified as Rajesh Rohidas Jambukar, took his own life after the crime, leaving behind a suicide note that may shed light on his motives.

The crime began on December 11, 2024, when Jambukar kidnapped Aryan Vikram Chavan, a fifth-grade student. Aryan’s father immediately reported the abduction to the Pargaon Police Station, but the police struggled to track down the accused.
