Road Rage in Kalyaninagar: Woman and Husband Physically Assaulted

Pune: An incident of road rage in Kalyaninagar area escalated into a case of molestation and assault after a car driver confronted another motorist about a collision that broke his car's mirror.

The Yerawada Police have registered a case against the accused motorist, who allegedly abused and physically assaulted the complainant and his wife during the altercation.

According to the complaint filed by the woman, she and her husband were driving through Kalyaninagar on Sunday, December 8, at approximately 8:30 PM.

Near the metro bridge, their car was struck by a speeding vehicle, breaking its side mirror. Following the collision, the complainant's husband questioned the driver of the other vehicle about his reckless driving.

The confrontation quickly turned heated as the accused argued on the road, parked his car obstructively, and physically pushed the complainant's husband.

When the woman stepped out of the car to calm the situation, the accused engaged in inappropriate behavior, including making obscene gestures, using abusive language, and pushing her.

A case has been registered at the Yerawada Police Station under charges of molestation, verbal abuse, and physical assault. Assistant Police Inspector Mahesh Lamkhede is leading the investigation into the matter.
