Pune: A wall painted green with flowers, incense sticks, and a cloth placed on it became the focal point of social media discussions in Pune's Sadashiv Peth on December 28th. The incident, which took place near the Jnana Prabodhini School, led to concern among local residents.

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Medha Kulkarni took swift action to investigate the matter. She visited the site along with local activists Sangram Dhole Patil, Sanket Mehendale, Yashpal Jadhav, and Datere. They took the step of painting the green wall with saffron to address the situation. Subsequently, photos and videos of the act went viral on social media.

Medha Kulkarni, addressing the issue, pointed out that such incidents have been increasing in Pune and other parts of Maharashtra. “On a local level, these acts of worship are happening in areas where green paint is used, and then they gradually expand,” she said.

She urged the Hindu community to stay vigilant and act promptly, warning that such actions, if left unchecked, could lead to a bigger issue. "It is important to observe what is happening around us and take timely action," she emphasized.

In her social media post, Medha Kulkarni made it clear that she and her supporters would not allow such incidents to go unchecked. "This is not just about color; it is about preserving the respect for our culture," she wrote, stressing the importance of standing firm in preserving cultural values.
