Savitribai Phule Pune University to hold 124th Convocation Ceremony

Chandrakant Patil, Minister for Higher and Technical Education, and Dr. T. G. Sitaram, Chairman of the AICTE will attend the ceremony.

Pune: The 124th convocation ceremony of Savitribai Phule Pune University is scheduled for Wednesday, the 3rd of the month. The event will be graced by the presence of the State Minister for Higher and Technical Education, Chandrakant Patil, and the Chairman of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Dr. T. G. Sitaram.

University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Suresh Gosavi, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr. Parag Kalkar, Acting Registrar Dr. Vijay Khare, and Director of Examinations and Evaluations Board Dr. Mahesh Kakade will also be present at the ceremony.

During the event, degrees will be awarded to 7,125 students who graduated in various disciplines at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the October-November 2023 exams.

The ceremony will take place at the university's indoor hall at 12:30 PM. Degrees will be conferred upon 4,814 undergraduate students, 2,020 postgraduate students, 35 diploma students, 239 Ph.D. scholars, 14 students receiving postgraduate diploma certificates, and three students awarded M.Phil. certificates.

Additionally, 71 meritorious students from various disciplines will receive 117 gold medals from the dignitaries present.
