Pune: In line with the National Education Policy, the Maharashtra government has decided to expand the “School Connect” campaign to ensure that students receive detailed information about educational reforms directly in their schools.

The initiative, led by the Higher and Technical Education Department, will extend to all non-agricultural universities in the state. Between January 1 and January 15, 2025, activities such as lectures, workshops, and online sessions will be conducted to inform students about recent changes in the educational system.

This year, the campaign will target students in grades 9, 10, 11, and 12 across schools and junior colleges. University experts will visit schools to guide students and explain new educational developments. The campaign aims to support students in planning their academic and career paths effectively.

This initiative, which was limited to grade 12 students last year, has been expanded to include other grades to maximize its impact. The Internal Quality Assurance Cells (IQAC) of universities will oversee its implementation.

Campaign Objectives:

  • Assist students in choosing suitable courses after grade 12 based on their interests.

  • Inform students about employment-oriented courses after grade 10 and opportunities for degree-level education.

  • Provide guidance to ensure every student progresses towards higher education.

  • Educate students and parents about recent innovations and changes in education.

  • Share comprehensive details about new curricula introduced by universities.

  • Explain the new evaluation and grading systems to students.

  • Offer insights into available scholarship programs to support students financially.

This initiative is expected to significantly aid students in making informed decisions about their educational journey, aligning their choices with future opportunities.
