Seema Haider, a woman originally from Pakistan who relocated to India in 2023, recently organised a naming ceremony for her newborn son at her residence in Rabupura, Noida. Seema, who gave birth to her sixth child in February this year, named the baby “Bharat” along with her husband, Sachin Meena.
Addressing the gathering at the ceremony, she described Hindu traditions as “beautiful” and voiced her pride in practicing the faith, noting that such rituals and small festivals bring happiness and deepen family bonds, according to Live Hindustan.
Explaining how they chose the name, Seema said a priest had advised them to select one beginning with the letters 'Bh', and the couple decided that 'Bharat' was the most meaningful and appropriate choice.
She also discussed her life in India, saying she takes pleasure in backing the country, particularly during cricket games, and marks its wins with her family. Seema further mentioned that she feels welcomed and respected in her community and has no intention of going back to Pakistan, the report stated.
Seema has four children from her earlier marriage and had two additional children after meeting Sachin. She came into India through Nepal in 2023 along with her children. According to reports, the couple first connected while playing the online game PUBG and eventually married at a temple in Kathmandu. Seema has consistently stated that India is now her home and that she wants to keep living here.
