Pawar said the party will soon decide whether to contest independently or with allies. “The decision on alliances, seats, and strategy will be taken by the party leadership,” he added, urging workers to stay alert.

Pointing to Pune’s rapid urban growth, Pawar highlighted issues in water supply, roads, electricity, healthcare, and law and order, noting that 30–40-storey buildings now house hundreds of residents. “Solving Pune’s problems is our moral duty, and we will do whatever it takes,” he said.

City unit chief Prashant Jagtap called for an early decision on alliances and stressed the need for a change in Pune’s leadership. He noted that the city ranks fifth globally in traffic congestion.

Separately, Pawar visited senior Congress leader Suresh Kalmadi at a private hospital to check on his health and interacted with his family.
