Sixth-round of talks between farmer leaders, government to be held on December 30

Its been more than a month now since farmers started their protest with Delhi challo march in November.

Delhi: Two days after the farmers' unions expressed that they are ready to hold talks with the government over the three agricultural laws, the government, while accepting their proposal, has agreed to hold fresh talks on December 30.

In a letter signed by the Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, the government said that the meeting between the farmer leaders and the council of ministers would take place at Vigyan Bhawan on December 30 at 2 pm.

Its been more than a month now since farmers started their protest with Delhi challo march in November. Numerous round of talks has taken place between the farmer leaders and the government. The protest has been getting stronger day by day, as farmers of various states are joining the protests.

The protest has received worldwide recognition and influential people have also extended their support to the farmers. Indians who are residing outside India have come down to the streets to show their support to the farmers.

This would be the sixth round of talks between the farmers and the government. The earlier rounds of talks remained inconclusive as both sides couldn't come to a common ground to resolve the issues.
