"Over the past few weeks, there has been plenty of speculation around my life, and I feel it is important for me to speak out at this time. I am a very private person, and I would like to keep it that way, but I need to clarify that the wedding is called off,” wrote Mandhana in her Instagram story.

Mandhana appealed for privacy, asking fans and the media to allow both families the space to move forward. “I would like to close this matter here and implore all of you to do the same. I request you to please respect the privacy of both families at this time and allow us the space to process and move on at our own pace.”

Earlier wedding plans

The wedding event was initially planned for November 23, 2025, in Sangli, Maharashtra. However, on the morning of the wedding, Mandhana's father, Srinivas Mandhana, experienced intense chest pain and was taken to the hospital, where doctors detected high cardiac enzyme levels and kept him under observation.

Soon after, Palash Muchhal also needed medical attention and was admitted to the hospital, leading families to cancel the event. Due to the unforeseen health issue, the wedding was delayed indefinitely. Mandhana's manager at that time mentioned that the priority should be on her father's recovery before considering a new date.

The Indian cricket star reaffirmed her commitment to representing her country at the highest level and said she is determined to continue playing and chasing trophies for India. She also took a moment to thank her fans for their unwavering support, noting that it’s time to move forward and focus on the game she loves.
