Pune: The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has published the selection list for 133 Assistant Professor positions across its academic departments.

Candidates who attended the interviews have been evaluated, and those shortlisted will receive their appointment letters between November 28 and November 30.

To address teaching vacancies for the academic year 2024-25, the university had issued a notification on August 26, 2024, inviting applications for the contractual appointment of Assistant Professors.

The application process, which was conducted online, remained open from October 8 to October 10. Following a thorough evaluation process, including interviews and scoring, the merit and selection lists were finalized.

Document Verification and Short-Term Tenure

The university emphasized that the final selection is contingent upon the verification of documents and credentials provided during the application process. Selected candidates will serve for the academic year 2024-25 on a contractual basis, which limits their tenure to a few months.

This recruitment drive aims to strengthen the teaching capabilities across various academic departments and provide timely staffing for the upcoming academic session. The university's announcement reflects its efforts to ensure efficient faculty deployment.
