Despite regular review meetings with municipal authorities, issues in key areas like Hinjewadi remain unresolved, prompting concerns from leaders and citizens alike.
Supriya Sule criticized the slow progress, saying that Pune’s urban planning is lagging and causing daily hardships. She emphasized that municipal officials must act promptly to address bottlenecks and improve city traffic flow, warning that delays only add to public frustration.
Alongside traffic concerns, Sule highlighted the importance of local body elections and decentralized governance. She pointed out that timely elections strengthen Panchayati Raj institutions and enable better decision-making in Pune’s municipal and regional bodies, helping deliver efficient civic services.
The proposed Purandar Airport project also remains under scrutiny. Reports indicate that around 70% of the land has been acquired, but Sule urged authorities to clarify the current status and ensure transparency, so residents and stakeholders have accurate information about the project’s progress.
