Pune: In a bold statement, Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) MP Supriya Sule claimed that a certain minister in the state government is hiding behind his wife and speaking through her. Without revealing his identity, she hinted that his downfall is inevitable within the next four to six months. Her remarks have sparked speculation in political circles about which minister she was referring to.

Supriya Sule was addressing a district-level review meeting of the NCP (SP) in Pune, where she spoke about the party's future and upcoming elections. Senior party leaders, including former minister Harshvardhan Patil, MLA Shashikant Shinde, Bapu Pathare, city president Prashant Jagtap, and Ankush Kakade, were present at the meeting.

During her speech, Sule launched a scathing attack on Dhananjay Munde, who is now aligned with Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party. She remarked, "It is good that the party split. How can we work with someone who keeps a gun in his wife’s car while their two children are inside? Working with such a person was never an option."

She further stated, "I feel that the party's split was a good thing. I would rather spend my life in the opposition than compromise on morality. Either he (Dhananjay Munde) would have remained in the party, or I would have left. Meet Santosh Deshmukh's mother, meet Mahadev Munde's wife – what was the fault of their children? We must stop bowing down to power and money. We have to fight against such tendencies."

Addressing party workers, Sule urged them to embrace the struggle of being in the opposition. She said, "We have been in power for so many years. Now that we are in the opposition, should we shy away from the fight? This mentality needs to change. Party workers must stand up and fight with renewed determination."
