Swargate: Fire Breaks Out in a Bus at PMPML Depot

Fire Brigade personnel extinguished the fire in 10 minutes. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Pune: A fire broke out in a bus at the Swargate depot of PMPML at around 10.45 am on Saturday.

The fire brigade was informed as soon as it noticed a lot of smoke coming from the depot.

Firefighters at the depot had previously been trained in the use of anti-fire equipment. It paid off.

By then, firefighters had arrived. They extinguished the fire in 10 minutes. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Fire officer Prashant Gaikar, driver Atul Mohite, constables Chandrakant Gawade, Azeem Shaikh, Sagar Thombare, Mayur Thube and Tushar Jankar were also present.
