Swargate Water Leak: No Water Supply in Central and Eastern Pune on July 25

Leak detected on 600 mm diameter water pipeline coming from MLR tank Parvati Waterworks towards Bhawani Peth, in front of Swargate Metro Station.

Pune: Due to a major water leak in front of Swargate Metro Station, the municipal administration will be conducting repairs on the water pipeline to stop the leakage.

As a result, water supply will be shut off on Thursday (25th) in several central and eastern parts of the city. The water supply department has informed that water supply will resume late in the morning the next day and will be at low pressure.

A significant leak has been detected on the 600 mm diameter water pipeline coming from the MLR tank at Parvati Waterworks towards Bhawani Peth, in front of Swargate Metro Station. To address this issue, the water supply will be shut off in the affected areas on Thursday.

The areas affected by the water shutdown include: Shankarsheth Road area, Guruwar Peth, Budhwar Peth, Kasewadi, Quartergate, Mahatma Phule Peth, Bhawani Peth, Nana Peth, Lohianagar, Somwar Peth, Arun Kumar Vaidya Stadium, Ghorpade Peth,

parts behind Laxminarayan Talkies, Saras Baug area, Khadakmal Ali, Shivaji Road area, Mukundnagar, parts of Maharshinagar, TMV Colony, Meenatai Thackeray Industrial Estate, Apsara Talkies area, Meera Anand area, and Shreyas Society.
