Swiggy’s new app Toing launches in Pune for students and young professionals.
Meals priced Rs 100-150, with flash deals under Rs 99 and lower platform fees.
Competes with Rapido’s Ownly, part of Swiggy’s move to standalone apps.
Pune, 16 September 2025: Swiggy has launched a new standalone app called ‘Toing’ in Pune, designed to offer affordable meal options priced between Rs 100-150. The app specifically targets students and young professionals with limited disposable income.
According to multiple reports, Toing is currently available in select Pune areas including Kothrud, Hinjewadi, Wakad, Aundh, and Pimple Saudagar. It offers mini meals, burgers, sandwiches, cakes, and desserts. The platform charges a lower fee of Rs 12 compared to Rs 14.99 on the main Swiggy app. Additionally, users can access flash deals priced under Rs 99.
This is the first time Swiggy is testing a new app outside Bengaluru. Pune was chosen due to its large student population and young workforce, which the company sees as an underpenetrated market.
The launch comes at a time of growing competition in the food delivery space, with Toing set to compete with Rapido’s recently launched Ownly app, which targets a similar audience. Swiggy is reportedly selling its 12% stake in Rapido for up to Rs 2,500 crore.
Swiggy’s food delivery business has grown steadily, with monthly transacting users rising from 14 million to 16.3 million between Q1FY25 and Q1FY26. While the company already offers affordable meals through its Rs 99 store across 175 cities, Toing focuses exclusively on the Rs 100-150 range.
The app also features a fresh green and pink color scheme to appeal to younger users, breaking away from Swiggy’s traditional orange branding.
Toing is now available for download on both the App Store and Play Store.
