Theur: Illegal Bangladeshi Immigrant Arrested, Forged Documents for Illegal Stay

Pune: Loni Kalbhor Police have registered a case against a Bangladeshi citizen illegally residing in the Theur area of Pune. The accused, identified as Harul Panchanan Biswas (53), was living in Kakade Building, Theur, under the guise of being an Indian citizen. The case was lodged following a complaint by Amol Vitthal Pawar from the Anti-Dacoity Squad.

Illegal Entry and Forgery

Harul Biswas, born in Bangladesh in 1972, has been a Bangladeshi citizen throughout his life. He allegedly entered India illegally and initially settled in West Bengal before moving to various locations across the country. For the past few years, he has been residing in Theur, Pune.

Investigations revealed that Biswas had forged multiple Indian identity documents, including a birth certificate, Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID, passport, and ration card, to establish a false identity and legalize his stay in India.

Legal Action Initiated

Upon discovering these forgeries, the Loni Kalbhor Police registered a case against Biswas under several sections of the Indian Penal Code and other relevant laws. Authorities are now probing the extent of his activities and the process through which he obtained these fraudulent documents.

Strict Vigilance on Illegal Immigrants

The incident underscores the importance of stringent checks to prevent illegal immigration and misuse of Indian identity documents. The police have assured that strict legal action will be taken against such offenders to maintain law and order.
