Pune: TikTok personality Maulana alias Abdul Rashid alias Miftahi Qalandar Khan and co-accused Soni Bur alias Sauda Rafiq Khan were granted anticipatory bail in a ₹1.16 crore fraud case involving nine investors. The accused had allegedly lured investors by promising monthly returns of 2–3% on investments in a car trading business, Saad Motors.

Previously, Rashid's anticipatory bail was rejected by the Supreme Court. However, Additional Sessions Judge A.S. Waghmare approved his bail application on strict conditions, including the deposit of ₹1.16 crore in court in four equal installments.

Court-Ordered Conditions:

  • Rashid must deposit ₹30 lakh immediately in court before the Kondhwa Police executes his bail bond.

  • The remaining ₹1.16 crore must be paid in equal installments over the next four months.

  • Rashid is required to appear at the Kondhwa Police Station every Monday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. until the charge sheet is filed.

  • He must not tamper with evidence, influence witnesses, or obstruct the investigation.

For Soni Bur, the court approved bail on a bond of ₹1 lakh, with an additional requirement to deposit ₹20 lakh in court by January 2025 in two or three installments.

During the hearing, Advocate Amey Sirsikar, representing the complainants, emphasized that the Supreme Court’s rejection of Rashid’s bail application underscored the gravity of the fraud. He argued that granting bail without recovery of funds would leave investors without justice.

Taking this into account, the court mandated the recovery of ₹1.16 crore through court deposits to balance justice and financial restitution.
