Borivali: A video, allegedly recorded at Borivali Railway Station, has gone viral on social media, depicting a young man lying on the station floor and clutching a woman's feet while commuters and police officers look on.

The video, widely circulated on social media, has stirred interest and discussion as numerous users speculate about the cause of the unusual scene. Yet, the specific details of the incident remain uncertain.

The Free Press Journal could not independently verify the authenticity of the video or confirm what transpired before or after the footage was recorded.

The viral video opens with a young man in a light blue shirt and black trousers lying flat on the platform, firmly clutching the leg of a young woman. The woman, dressed in a green-and-white patterned outfit with a shawl covering her face and a backpack on her shoulders, appears to repeatedly attempt to pull away from his grasp. Despite her efforts, the man seemingly refuses to release her.

Text overlaid on the video reads "TRUE LOVE " along with "BORIVALI RAILWAY STATION," although there is no independent confirmation that the caption accurately reflects the situation.

Police personnel seen intervening

As the situation develops, multiple uniformed officers are visible standing near the two individuals. The video later shows one officer seemingly stepping in, while another is seen directing curious bystanders to clear the area as a crowd forms around the scene.The video alternates between shots of the man lying on the floor, holding the woman's feet, and another segment where he is sitting on the ground as uniformed officials seem to question or speak with him.

Video sparks online reactions

The video has drawn significant attention online, amassing more than 6 million views on Instagram to date. Thousands of users have responded to the clip, with many speculating about the events that may have caused the dramatic scene, while others cautioned against rushing to judgment without understanding the complete context. The video has drawn varied responses online, with social media users split between viewing it as a display of affection and condemning it as needless public theatrics. While some expressed sympathy for the man, many challenged the appropriateness of such conduct in a busy railway station.

One Instagram user remarked, "Love is such a useless thing." Another commented, "Where can you even find someone who loves like this nowadays?"Several others mocked the incident. One user wrote, "Itna ye karne ki kya jarurat hai bhai, maa baap ke pair chhulo aage badhoge" (Why go to such lengths? Touch your parents' feet instead; you'll progress in life).

So far, neither the railway authorities nor the Mumbai Police have released an official statement clarifying the incident or naming the individuals involved.
