Two Separate Motorbike Accidents in Pune Leave One Dead, Two Injured

First accident occurred on November 23 near Morebaug Bus Stop in Katraj, while second accident took place on November 22 night on Karve Road near Ranka Jewellers.

Pune witnessed two serious motorcycle accidents in a single night, resulting in one death and leaving two people injured.

The first accident occurred early Saturday (November 23) morning near the Morebaug Bus Stop in Katraj, while the second accident took place late Friday (November 22) night on Karve Road near Ranka Jewellers.

In the first incident, Harshad Deepak Barge, a 25-year-old resident of Military Housing Society in Sadar Bazar, Satara, lost his life after his speeding motorcycle collided with a road divider.

The accident happened around 2:30 a.m. Barge's friend, Rishikesh Hemant Dhotre, age 26 and a resident of Deshmukh Colony, Sadar Bazar, Satara, who was also on the motorcycle, sustained injuries.

Dhotre subsequently filed a complaint at the Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station. According to his report, Barge lost control of the bike near Morebag Bus Stop, causing the bike to crash into the divider.

The impact threw both riders onto the road, resulting in fatal injuries to Barge and serious injuries to Dhotre. Police Sub-Inspector Deshmukh is currently handling the investigation.

The second accident took place at approximately 11:00 p.m. on Friday on Karve Road, in front of Ranka Jewellers. In this incident, Vaibhav Hanumant Pimple, a 35-year-old resident of Saraswati Colony, Shivanagar, Sambhajinagar, Satara, was severely injured.

Police constable Amol Khartode registered a complaint at the Deccan Police Station. Pimple was riding at a high speed when he collided with the boundary wall of the flyover near Nal Stop.

He sustained critical injuries, and Police Sub-Inspector Yogita Gaikwad is overseeing the investigation.
