Pune, 3rd December 2024: The Directorate of Education Scheme has announced a state-level inspection of literacy classes conducted under its programs.

This initiative aims to ensure effective implementation and compliance with the Ullas Nav Bharat Literacy Program and other government education schemes.

Officials have been appointed to carry out the inspections, and a comprehensive schedule has been finalized.

These inspections will involve visits to the offices of literacy education officers, group education officers, schools, and literacy classes under the program. Officials will also interact with illiterate learners and volunteers to gather insights on the program’s progress and challenges.

The inspections will not be limited to literacy classes. Schools and minority-status institutions will also be scrutinized for their implementation of various government schemes.

Information collected during these visits will provide a clearer picture of how these schemes are functioning on the ground.

Dr. Mahesh Palekar, Director of Education Scheme, will personally visit several divisions, including Kolhapur, Pune, Latur, Nashik, Mumbai, Amravati, and Nagpur, from December 5 to December 26.

Simultaneously, teams of other officials will conduct school inspections in their respective divisions from December 2 to December 13.

This state-level initiative underscores the government’s commitment to improving literacy and ensuring the effective delivery of education programs across the state.
