Pune: A policeman from Uruli Kanchan police station, reportedly demanded sexual favors from a woman delivering tiffins to the police mess.

The accusation was made by Shiv Sena (Uddhav BalasahebThackeray) deputy leader Sushma Andhare, who also shared a video related to the incident.

According to Andhare’s statement, the policeman was intoxicated when he made the demand, allegedly using his uniform to intimidate the woman. When the woman refused, he quickly changed his approach. However, when she tried to file a complaint, the police station reportedly refused to register it.

Just a few days ago, a young woman was sexually assaulted inside a MSRTC bus at Swargate Stand, an area close to Swargate Police Station. Investigations revealed that the accused had a history of preying on multiple women, highlighting serious lapses in law enforcement.

Despite the viral nature of the allegations, the Pune Police Department has yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
