Vasantotsav 2025: Pune to Host 18th Edition of Musical Extravaganza from January 17

The festival promises an eclectic blend of music, including classical performances, percussion, light music, live bands, and enchanting ghazals, catering to diverse musical tastes.

Pune: The 18th edition of the ‘Vasantotsav’ festival, organized by the Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande Foundation, is set to begin on Friday, January 17, at Suryakant Kakade Farms, Kothrud, Pune.

The three-day musical extravaganza will run until Sunday, January 19, with performances scheduled daily from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM. Singer Rahul Deshpande shared details about the festival during an announcement.

The festival promises an eclectic blend of music, including classical performances, percussion, light music, live bands, and enchanting ghazals, catering to diverse musical tastes. Rahul Deshpande expressed his excitement, saying, "Vasantotsav continues to be a platform where we bring an array of artistic performances to delight music enthusiasts."

Day-wise Highlights of Vasantotsav 2025:

Friday, January 17: The festival will kick off with a high-energy performance by the renowned rock band Agnee, known for its global acclaim, having performed in over 25 countries and delivered more than 600 shows.

Saturday, January 18: The second day will feature a mesmerizing joint performance by sisters Ranjani and Gayatri. Ranjani will present Carnatic vocals, while Gayatri will enchant the audience with her Carnatic violin recital. This will be followed by a vocal performance by Pandit Sanjeev Abhyankar of the Mewati gharana. The day will conclude with an exceptional sitar recital by acclaimed musician Shujaat Khan.

Sunday, January 19: The final day will commence with a vocal performance by Rahul Deshpande. Following this, legendary singer Hariharan will take the stage. The festival will culminate with a collaborative performance by these two iconic artists, marking a grand finale to the event.

This is a ticketed event, and music enthusiasts are encouraged to attend and immerse themselves in the vibrant cultural experience that ‘Vasantotsav’ has to offer.
