Pune: In a decisive action to curb criminal activities, Yerwada Police have arrested three individuals involved in an attempted murder and vehicle vandalism following the murder of a notorious criminal in the Vishrantwadi-Yerawada area.

The accused, who tried to kill another person and create chaos in the area, were publicly paraded by the police to dismantle their influence and instill confidence among the residents.

The accused, identified as Satish Chandrakant More (27), Kaluram Sukhdev Lodhe (35), and Moreshwar Somnath Londhe (19), were brought to the crime scene in Jaiprakash Nagar for further investigation.

The incident involved a brutal attack on Praveen Kamble and extensive damage to vehicles as the armed assailants attempted to spread fear.

Residents of Yerawada have expressed satisfaction with the police's proactive measures to control the growing criminal activities in the area.

This action is part of a broader effort by the Yerawada Police to restore order and ensure public safety, including similar parades conducted previously in Panchsheel Nagar against criminals attempting to intimidate the community.

Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Shelke has assured that strict legal actions will be consistently taken against those with criminal tendencies to keep crime in check. He also urged citizens to contact the Yerawada Police for any legal assistance or to report any illegal activities within the jurisdiction.

Four gangsters had went on a rampage in Yerawada on August 5 morning to revenge for the recent murder of Sudhir Gawas. Armed with machetes, they vandalized motorcycles and auto rickshaws parked along the roadside.

The gangsters brandished their weapons and loudly threatened to kill anyone who interfered. They attacked a bystander, Praveen Bhagwan Kamble, leaving him seriously injured.
