Pune: A delivery boy barged into a house and tried to molest a minor girl, police said on Sunday. Police are on the lookout for the delivery boy who fled after the incident.

The victim's mother lodged a complaint at Wagholi police station. A case has been registered against the delivery boy (aged around 19) under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

According to police, the victim's mother had gone to a society for domestic work. Then the delivery boy came home. He told the girl that the parcel had come in his mother's name.

The girl contacted her mother on her mobile phone. His mother then asked her to pay Rs 100 and pick up the parcel. He then entered the house on the pretext of drinking water.

He then took advantage of the fact that there was no one in the house and tried to do obscene things to the girl. The girl, who was scared by the incident, screamed.

The delivery boy then threatened her and fled. When the girl narrated the incident to her mother, the mother lodged a complaint at the police station.
