Pune: In a shocking incident in Wagholi, a doctor associated with Jeevan Rakshak Hospital, with the help of two accomplices, attacked a man on Thursday night over a financial dispute. Police have filed a case against the three suspects.
The victim, identified as Pritesh Prakash Bafna (36), resides in Wagholi. The accused include Dr. Vivek Gupta from Jeevan Rakshak Hospital, Ajay Sawant, and Prashant Dhamdhere (full names and addresses unknown).
According to the police, Dr. Gupta, along with his accomplices, went to Bafna's house due to a disagreement over financial transactions. They allegedly verbally abused Bafna's parents and wife, blocked his car with theirs, and pelted stones at his vehicle.
The attackers then assaulted Bafna, causing injuries. When Bafna went to the police station to file a complaint, they threatened to kill him. Following the incident, Senior Police Inspector Sawalaram Salgaonkar, Assistant Police Inspector Ravindra Godse, and Sub-Inspector Rahul Kolpe visited the scene. The Lonikand Police are currently conducting further investigations.
