Pune police have arrested a 19-year-old youth for allegedly blackmailing a woman with morphed nude images and demanding money. The accused also created a fake Instagram account in the victim’s name and sent the edited photos to her brother.

The incident took place under the Wanawadi police station jurisdiction, exposing a disturbing case of cyber harassment and extortion. According to police reports, the accused morphed the woman’s pictures into explicit images and threatened to leak them online unless she paid ₹2,000.

"If you don't pay, I will make these photos viral," the accused allegedly warned the victim. To intensify the intimidation, he sent one of the morphed photos to her brother via Instagram.

Following the woman's complaint, Wanawadi police arrested a 19-year-old man from Hadapsar on March 13. The accused is originally from Bihar. Additionally, a minor boy has been booked in the case, although his exact role is still under investigation.

The accused allegedly created an Instagram account using the victim’s name and photos. He used this account to send threatening messages and share explicit images. The Wanawadi police are investigating further to determine the extent of the crime and whether any more individuals were involved.
