Woman Attacked by Colleague in Yerawada IT Firm Parking Lot; Accused Detained

The victim, identified as 28-year-old Shubhada Shankar Kodare, sustained serious injuries in the attack and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city.

Pune witnessed a shocking act of violence on Tuesday evening, January 7, when a young woman working at a multinational IT company was assaulted by her colleague with a sharp weapon. The incident took place in the parking area of the company in Yerawada.

The victim, identified as 28-year-old Shubhada Shankar Kodare, sustained serious injuries in the attack and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city.

The Yerawada police swiftly acted and detained the accused, Krishna Satyanarayan Kanoja, aged 30, who resides in Khairewadi, Shivajinagar. Both the victim and the accused work as accountants in the same company’s call center located in Ramwadi, Yerawada.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:15 PM when Shubhada had entered the company’s parking area. Krishna reportedly approached her and, following an argument, attacked her on her right arm with a sharp weapon.

The attack resulted in significant blood loss, leaving her critically injured. Immediate medical attention was provided, and she was rushed to a private hospital in Yerawada.
