Woman Cheated On the Pretext of Government Job

A 31-year-old woman from Katraj has lodged a complaint with Bharati Vidyapeeth police station.

Pune: A woman was allegedly duped of Rs 20 lakh on the pretext of a government job. The police have registered a case against two persons, including a woman from Ambegaon Budruk.

A 31-year-old woman from Katraj has lodged a complaint with Bharati Vidyapeeth police station. The complainant woman was introduced to the accused through an acquaintance.

The accused told the woman that they were acquainted with high-ranking officials of government departments. The accused then extorted Rs 19.99 lakh from the woman from time to time.

But since the woman could not get a job, she approached the accused. The woman lodged a complaint at Bharati Vidyapeeth police station after the accused gave evasive answers.
